Hot tap water solutions

Connect the Blue to our electric heater

You can connect the Blue to our electric inline heater. This provides an optimal solution if you use a heat pump. This heat pump works most efficient at a low temperature of about 40°C. Our inline heater uses this water and increases the temperature to 60°C. This prevents legionella growth, allows for a very efficient systems and compliance to the NEN 1006.

  • The Blue works most efficient in combination with our inline electric heater and a heat pump (3)
  • Connect the inline heater between the tap water supply from the heat pump and the thermostatic mixing valve of the Blue (4)
  • The inline heater requires 3,5 kW maximum (@230VAC)

Connect the Blue using our electric water tank

You can use our electric powered hot water tank in case you don’t use a heat pump to heat or cool your house. For example, if you use infrared panels of a wood stove to heat your house, you can use our hot water tank to supply the hot tap water. It is important to connect the tank between the exit of the heat recovery module and the shower. Connecting the tank this way will provide for a very efficient system.

  • The Blue is optimized to work with our Remeha Multipoint V50 / H50 (3)
  • Connect the elektrische water tank between the heat recovery module (2) and the thermostatic mixing valve (4)
  • The water tank will be set at 60°C conform NEN 1006

Hot water

  • Connect the Blue to your hot tap water supply using the provided metal woven, flexible hose with 1/2″ inside thread.
  • The hot water source must be capable to deliver between 1 and 5 liters of hot water per minute*
  • Maximum operating pressure is 5 bar
  • Temperature of the tap water minimum 55°C
  • Temperature of the tap water maximum 90°C**
* Please notice: some natural gas heaters have a minimum flow of more then 2 liters per minute. Hamwells can optionally provide products to realize the low hot tap water flow.
** This is useful in case the hot water is provided by solar collector panels

Cold water supply

  • Connect to your cold water supply using the 1/2″ flexibel metal woven hose, metaalgevlochten, inside thread, supplied.
